Employee Benefits

Design and manage benefit programs that attract and retain top talent — without adding administrative burden.

BeneSkill helps employers build benefit programs that compete for talent and hold up at renewal. We use data-driven insights and modern technology to deliver smarter, more affordable health plans and ancillary benefits. From plan benchmarking to renewal strategy, we simplify the process and help employees make confident benefit decisions.

Consulting built on your own data

Most benefit decisions get made on a spreadsheet of renewal quotes. We start somewhere better: your census, your claims signals, and your cost concentration. Our consultants provide integrated data services that address issues across the entire benefits management spectrum — measurement and benchmarking, plan performance, purchasing efficiency, and government regulation and compliance.

That means when a carrier hands you a double-digit increase, you already know whether it is justified, which drivers are behind it, and which levers are worth pulling.

Funding strategy, not just plan shopping

The funding model underneath your plan often matters more than the plan itself. We model the realistic options side by side so you can see where risk actually sits.

  • Fully insured — predictable cost, minimal administration, least visibility into claims.
  • Level-funded — self-funded economics with a fixed monthly payment and stop-loss protection.
  • Self-funded — maximum control and data access for groups with the size and stability to support it.
  • ICHRA — a defined-contribution approach that lets employees buy individual coverage with tax-free dollars.

Audit and vendor oversight

We audit across medical claims, disability, pharmacy and medical management vendors. Billing errors, eligibility mismatches and unmanaged specialty pharmacy spend are common, and they are usually invisible without someone specifically looking for them.

Common questions

How early should we start on renewal?

Four to six months before your effective date. That is enough runway to benchmark, model alternative funding, and take a coordinated program to market rather than reacting to whatever number the incumbent carrier sends.

We are happy with our current plan. Is there any point in a review?

Often the review confirms you are positioned well — which is useful information to carry into the renewal conversation. When it does not, you have found the gap while there is still time to act on it.
